Group therapy involves a group leader with a group of about ten clients. Typically, groups meet for an hour and a half each week. Instead of focusing on just one client at a time, the therapist can devote his or her time to a much larger group of people. Group therapy offers a safe haven. The setting allows people to practice behaviors and actions within the safety and security of the group. All groups are closed and in a confidential setting. All group members meet with the group therapist to complete confidentiality forms prior to starting group sessions.
